On the Rise

One of my life long buddies, Naeem, sent me an interesting piece a few moments ago. I figured I had to post the information here. There is an upcoming collaboration between Lupe Fiasco, Asher Roth, The Cool Kids, Charles Hamilton, Blu, Diggy, Wale and J.Cole. Pretty crazy, right? The whole project is called "All City Chess Club." If you dig Lupe's music as much I do, then we have both "Lasers" and "All City Chess Club" to look forward to!

Mmmm... Donuts...

The Roots Crew released a new mixtape titled "Dilla Joints" in tribute to the infamous J. Dilla. J. Dilla is a legendary hip-hop artist that has changed the entire culture. His music has influenced artists like Pharrel Williams, Kanye West, Jay Electronica, Slum Village, and pretty much any one who loves hip hop. This mixtape is amazing, along with every word synonymous to amazing.

You can download individual tracks or listen to it streaming HERE thanks to Hypebeast.

J. Dilla, Rest in Peace!!!

I'm just a bboy, and it brings me joy.

I have a huge amount of love and admiration towards the bboy/ bgirl community. This trailer from Chelles Battle Pro 2010 is absolutely insane. The video speaks for itself.

Wonderwall

As I stated in my last post, Original Fake came out with some cool items for the Spring. What I didn't mention was the collaboration with interior design company WONDERWALL. It was founded by Masamichi Katayama back in 2000. Since then, he was worked with Nike, Uniqlo, A Bathing Ape, and the list goes on. It is truly inspiring to see how far creativity can take an individual in this world. Masamichi's work is truly incredible and inspiring. Check out some of Wonderwall's work below:

New Original Fake drops at St. Alfred's tomorrow.

One of my favorite artists from one of my favorite brands is dropping new stuff at one of my favorite shops. What a great day for me, right? Original Fake is back at it again, and KAWS surely does not disappoint. If you like what you see, make sure you run (and I mean sprint) to St. Alfred's on the quicks!!!

I don't know why my post is underlined, but I am going to say its a lame April Fool's joke.

Click HERE for St. Alfred's website. It is awesome, like me.

For all my Nas and Damian Marley fans, they just released the cover to their upcoming album "Distant Relatives" dropping May 18th! Their first single together titled "Road to Zion" was phenomenal. Verizon iPhone Model To Be Ready THIS FALL, Sources Say

A Verizon iPhone model could be coming later this year, according to a Wall Street Journal article that cites 'people briefed on the matter.'

The Wall Street Journal writes,

The people briefed on the matter said one of the new iPhones is being manufactured by Taiwanese contract manufacturer Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., which produced Apple's previous iPhones. The model that has CDMA capability, used by Verizon Wireless, is being manufactured by Pegatron Technology Corp., the contract manufacturing subsidiary of Taiwan's ASUSTeK Computer Inc., said these people.

One person familiar with the situation said Pegatron is scheduled to start mass producing the CDMA iPhones in September, but it was unclear when Apple might make the model available.

The Wall Street Journal also says that a second new iPhone model is set to be unveiled sometime this summer.

The latest report of the iPhone coming to Verizon should be taken with a grain of salt: rumors of a Verizon-enabled iPhone have been numerous and frequently contradictory. Analysts predicted there was 'a good chance' Apple would unveil a Verizon iPhone this past January, while just over a month ago, Product Review wrote, 'It looks like the chances of the iPhone coming to Verizon are getting slimmer by the day.'
